A ground-breaking “mind-reading” helmet is on the UK’s next-generation fighter jet.

According to the BBC, the Tempest fighter jet, a component of the U.K.'s Future Combat Air System (FCAS), would have technology that can read pilots' minds. For the development of the Tempest sixth-generation combat fighter jet, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) last year granted a $347 million (£250 million) grant to a group of businesses that includes BAE Systems and Rolls Royce from the United Kingdom, Leonardo from Italy, and missile group MBDA from Europe. The program is focused on technical advancements that will probably be a difficulty in the not-too-distant future and is intended to replace the fighter jets that are currently in use by the 2040s. Reading the pilot's mind is one of the ways the consortium plans to employ artificial intelligence (A.I.) to close the communication g...

According to reports, Russia downed its most modern and powerful fighter plane in Ukraine.

According to Forbes, Russian air defenses appeared to go into overdrive and shoot down their fighter jet above Ukrainian airspace. Unaware of whose aircraft had been shot at in the sky, a Russian official apparently relayed the story on Telegram earlier this week. Later, it was shared by other Twitter users. Early this year, when Russian assault on Ukraine started, Ukraine benefited from the military assistance given by Western friends. In addition to eliminating aircraft threats, Ukraine was also able to deploy drone-based counterattacks that destroyed the Russian supply lines. According to reports from earlier this month, Ukraine was losing ground to Russia as it started to concentrate its efforts in a few key areas and fortified its air defenses. The Su-34 M, one of the Russian mili...

I can’t believe it! Scientists make jet fuel out of bacteria found in soil.

Recently, a group of scientists at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory was able to make jet fuel from bacteria in the genus streptomyces that is commonly found in soil. In 1999, the American Petroleum Institute (APA) released a report that said the Earth's oil reserves could run out anytime between 2062 and 2094. In contrast, a 2019 study from Stanford University's Millennium Alliance for Humanity and the Biosphere (MAHB) says that the world will run out of oil much sooner, in 2054. Imagine a world where there is no oil and so planes can't fly, jets can't protect the borders, goods can't be shipped, and rockets can't leave Earth. Since oil is used by the world's aviation, shipping, and aerospace industries, running out of it could cause chaos everywhere. Forget about oil running ou...
