The first session of the common entrance test, also known as the CUET, has been postponed and will now take place on August 12 due to a number of unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather and technical difficulties. Although the exam was supposed to start at three in the afternoon, it didn’t start until three and a half hours later than scheduled because the question paper for the second shift of the exam couldn’t be uploaded until five o’clock and the download couldn’t begin until five twenty-five minutes later than scheduled at 489 of the centers.
According to the official notice issued by the NTA, the CUET (UG) – 2022 examination, which was originally scheduled to take place on August 4, 2022 (first shift), has been moved to August 12, 2022, for a select number of examination centers. This change was made “due to various administrative and technical reasons.”
“Reports were requested from the observers and city coordinators who were present on the ground. On the basis of their suggestions, the second shift that was supposed to take place on August 4, 2022 (Shift 2) (from three to six in the evening) has been canceled, and its duties will instead be carried out between August 12 and August 14, 2022. The candidates whose examinations have been rescheduled can continue to use the same admit card since it will continue to be valid for them. If the dates of 12-14 August 2022 do not work for the applicants, they have the option of sending an email to datechange@nta.ac.in with their desired date and roll number attached, according to the organization in charge of administering the exam.

In addition, the test had to be postponed or canceled in a number of locations in Kerala because of the rain. The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued an official notice in which it stated, “Due to heavy rain in many districts of Kerala in the past few days, it has been brought to the notice of NTA that it may not be possible for a large number of candidates to reach the Examination Centre for CUET (UG) – 2022 within the stipulated time as the movement will be very difficult and there may be disruption of power.” This statement was made in light of the fact that heavy rain had occurred in many districts of Kerala in
A significant number of students have taken to Twitter in an effort to obtain clarification from NTA over the question of whether or not the exam would be held on the same date.
After the National Eligibility and Eligibility Test (NEET), the Common Law Entrance Test (CUET) is the second most popular examination in India. There has never before been a standardized test administered in India for the purpose of admittance to higher education institutions in other nations.
Even before the exam, a significant number of students had already filed complaints with the organization in charge of administering the test (NTA), requesting assistance in changing the location of the examination because they had been assigned different cities on their admit cards and in their exam notification slips. When numerous candidates arrived at the testing location on the day of the exam, they discovered a sign that stated the exam had been postponed due to a technical fault.
